What does a Sr. Social Media Manager do?

Your ideas for daily social content will epitomise BBM’s tone and message. You must lead from the front, ideate and bring the team with you. Your ability to enthuse and manage your team will be mission critical. If you work best as a team member following someone else’s lead, then this role is not for you.

Because a huge part of your role involves the ideation of highly shareable original content, a full understanding of the end to end creative materials production process is desirable. Candidates with hands on experience in this area will have a distinct advantage.

Each day, before you even get to work, you will have scoured the news for trending stories that chime with our target audience. Then, as part of a daily briefing, oversee the production of original content that delivers the brief that you have set. This will involve organising the production of contents, with writing and editorial skills a real bonus.

WHAT HE/SHE WILL DO:
• Lead on strategy across social media.
• Develop owned, earned and paid social campaign content.
• Build and maintain relationships that increase social following and engagement.
• Push an innovative approach to social.
• Utilise data for insight & reporting, with a granular focus on ROI.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners.
• Create cutting edge social content that our audience will want to share.

REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate
•4+ years experience in a role focused on social media and/or content
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Extensive familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
•Good understanding of social media metrics and the ability to interpret the results and take action to increase the effectiveness of social media campaigns
•Experience with using digital analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to gain insights into customer behaviour
•In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
•Track record of building brands through social media and innovative content
•Proficiency in organic and paid social media techniques such as hashtags, @mentions and in generating likes & comments
•Deep expertise in creating engaging content
•Knowledge of how to optimise content for SEO
•Experience creating a pipeline of owned content, i.e. blog posts, case studies etc.
